What is a store location map ? Picture a pleasant image behind a suburb or state map with a little transparency to allow the image to just peek through. A set of icons showing stores and a couple of warehouses. Move the cursor over an icon and a snippet of descriptive but factual text appears beside the cursor in a callout. A store location map can be used for many things; however their primary purpose is to advertise the location and specialty of a store. For example, Walmart is an American corporation that runs a chain of large, discount department stores worldwide. A Walmart store location map will not only let the customers to find the location nearest them, but also provide more information about specific store attributes, such as the phone number and the detailed address when the user hoves the cursor over the points or icons.

If we are a Video outlet and have say 20 shopfronts in a city, the ability to show the shop nearest a potential customer would be a big plus.

There are 2 stores in the CBD. One is for general movies but the other specialises in the old silent movies and has a large list of stock. It is good to make this known to the buying public .
